Technology Enhances Language Learning in MFL Lessons

Tablets Bring French Lessons to Life.

Year 10 and Year 11 students have been making the most of classroom tablets to support their Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) studies. The use of technology in language learning has long been recognised as an effective way to boost attainment, and this new initiative is already helping students engage more deeply with French.

Through a partnership with Sanako UK, learners now have access to interactive online resources designed to align with the latest AQA GCSE specification. These tools not only enrich the learning experience but also reduce reliance on printed worksheets, contributing to a more environmentally friendly approach to teaching and learning.

The tablets are proving to be a versatile classroom asset, enabling students to take part in interactive activities, explore independent research, and add creativity to their projects. The combination of language learning and technology is fostering an innovative classroom environment where students can thrive.

“I believe it aids towards the needs of many, as most students find it difficult to take in verbal commands. Incorporating a new approach shows that the collaboration of language and technology has combined to create a new and innovative plan to improve our knowledge.” Lilly.Y – Year 11
