Last week, we were proud to launch our brand-new Alumni Programme—an initiative designed to inspire and support our current Sixth Form students by connecting them with former Basildon Sixth Formers who have gone on to exciting futures.

We were delighted to welcome back our very first guest, Owen South, a proud alumnus of the Basildon Academies and now a Strategy Consultant at one of the Big Four Accountancy Firms. Owen returned to share his journey since leaving Sixth Form and to offer valuable insights into life after school.

During his visit, Owen provided students with:

• Industry Tips & Tricks – Offering real-world advice on navigating career paths.
• CV & Personal Statement Guidance – Sharing practical strategies to help students stand out in applications.
• Motivation & Mentorship – Inspiring students with his story and encouragement.

The session marked a fantastic start to the programme and gave students a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and build confidence for their next steps. We look forward to welcoming more alumni in the future to continue building these inspiring connections.
