The session brought the realities of road safety to life through a multi-media theatre performance, exploring the risks associated with speeding, drink and drug driving, not wearing seatbelts and distractions.

Through dramatic scenes, monologues, sound effects and visuals, students saw how everyday decisions, distractions and peer pressure can have serious and long-lasting consequences.

The workshop supports SERP’s Vision Zero aim to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on Essex roads by 2040, while helping our students prepare for the responsibilities and risks they will face as young drivers and passengers.

The visit gave students an important opportunity to reflect on their own choices, the choices of others and the importance of speaking up and looking out for each other on the road.
