The event, organised in partnership with Debut Academy, brought together students from three different academies, all challenged to style hair to the imaginative theme of ‘Fantasy’.

In preparation for the competition, each student designed a mood board to visualise and plan their unique creation. Their final looks included inventive use of added hair and striking decorative elements that truly embraced the fantasy brief.

The competition featured learners across Levels 1, 2, and 3, with prizes awarded to the top stylist in each category. Although our students didn’t take home the top prizes, they impressed the judges with their creativity, technique, and flair. The standard was exceptionally high, and our stylists certainly held their own among strong competition.

A huge well done to Chloe H., Hazel C., and Olivia C. for their hard work, professionalism, and for representing the Basildon Academies with such pride. Each of them created incredible looks and showcased the exciting future of creative hairdressing.
