Year 10 Students Take Part in Anne Frank Trust Workshop

During the last week of term, the Upper Academy was delighted to welcome Natasha, Education Delivery Specialist from The Anne Frank Trust UK, who spent the day working with our Year 10 students.

Students took part in workshops centred around xenophobia, exploring important themes through group discussions, case studies, recent news events and current affairs. The sessions encouraged students to reflect on how attitudes, prejudice and discrimination can impact communities and society today.

“I really enjoyed the workshop because it taught me a lot about xenophobia and helped put into perspective how discrimination can affect people’s everyday lives. It’s something I will remember.” Gracie-Mae.M – Year 10

“The workshop really made me think about the experiences some people face every day because of prejudice and discrimination. It helped me understand why it’s important to challenge these attitudes.” Kaci.C – Year 10
